Pansy Brahma is an Indian actress who appears in Bodo, Assamese and Bengali films. She hails from Kokrajhar. She is the daughter of Rahila Brahma, the first actress in Bodo film industry, which she acted in Alayaron (1986), the first feature film in the history of Bodo cinema. The Rajat Kamal Award winning film was directed by Jwngdao Bodosa and written by the most famous Bodo short story writer Nilkamal Brahma.
Pansy Brahma born at Bagansali village of Kokrajhar district. She started her early education from Bimala Prasad Chaliha Memorial BabyLand English Medium High School, Kokrajhar. She graduated from Kokrajhar Govt. College with History honours and completed her Master’s Degree from Bodoland University, Kokrajhar in 2017.
She started her career as an actress from the romantic music video “Oh….Haina Sona” directed by Dhan Brahma. She is known for her sweet appearance in every role, she has been a part of many popular music videos like Agan- an epic love story along with Swmdwn directed by Dhan Brahama, Bibara Barwbla by The Kiratas, Fwi lwi Agwi Fwi along with Shimang Chainary and the song was sung by Kiranjit Basumatary and Modern Girl which song was sung by Biraj Muchahary.
She acted as an actress in some Bodo, Assamese and Bengali films like Jwlwi- The Seed (2019), the internationally acknowledged film was directed by Rajni Basumatary, Dusk (2020), the film story, screenplay and direction lead by Ujjal Paul, Sijou (2020) directed by Vishal P Chaliha and Rowdy Talks (2020).
